SERVICE PROJECTS    


The Rotary Club of Zionsville has been involved in a host of international projects, including:

  • In 2001 our club led a successful $42,000 effort to assist construction of a new building for Vonunu High School in the Solomon Islands.
  • In 1993-94 we sent x-ray equipment to Cameroon
  • In 1998-1999, working with the Black River Rotary Club in Jamaica and the most inspirational teacher we initiated support for building God’s School, in Jamaica
  • We helped build and equip Koldfata Hospital in Cameroon.
  • From its beginning, we contributed to support of the gift of life program with Riley Hospital in which children are brought from all over the world to have life-saving cardiac surgery here in Indianapolis.


Additionally, the Rotary Club of Zionsville has contributed to the local community in a host of ways including the following:

  • We built the gazebo, the picnic shelter and the volley-ball court in Lions Park.
  • We refurbished Lincoln Park, two time
  • We support the Zion Nature Center, Hussey Mayfield Memorial Library, Boys and Girls Club, among others.
  • We give books to little kids to encourage them to read.
  • We cooperate with other nearby Rotary Clubs to bring children to Riley Hospital for life-saving cardiac surgery, at our expense.
  • We support the Food Bank with our time and treasure.
  • We provide scholarships for Zionsville graduates going to college and encourage scholarship through events such as the one this morning.
